Indie Music Review
"Resettlement hopefully isn’t some one off recording because there’s promise present in this collection that could be consolidated into one of the indie scene’s most important ongoing projects." Full text here or visit
"Red Black Red’s Resettlement leaves a mark on listeners and takes risks many others wouldn’t dare. The gamble pays off over and over again for artist and listener alike." Full text here or visit
Blog Critics / Seattle PI
"Resettlement delivers a cusp of musical transition: the amalgamation of prog-rock, alt-rock, gospel exuberance, dynamic stasis, and frictional harmonics into innovative, matchless music - like something out of a futuristic sonic factory, where wild residual energy and the infinite plasticity of the digital merge. It's completely sui generis and totally excellent." Full text here or visit
"Resettlement.....comes off as a sort of modern fulfillment of rock music’s promise – capable of fully engaging with listeners physically and confronting them with great writing that rips the lid off experience. Resettlement is an impressively conceived effort that, seemingly, comes out of nowhere and makes the case that Enrico Fernando is a talent demanding to be taken seriously now." Indie Band Guru
"Resettlement’s eight tracks are guided by a level of musical risk-taking and dexterity we don’t often hear while still amply strengthened by an equally rare command of fundamentals... signal a level of inspired ingenuity we rarely hear from modern emerging performers." Full text here or visit
"Red Black Red’s Resettlement is far from your average one off or fringe alternative/art rock effort.....makes the case that Resettlement is one of the year’s strongest releases thus far in 2018. It’s rather astonishing to hear how fluidly Fernando’s writing and arranging talents binds dramatic electronic and guitar textures together that might be otherwise challenging for other acts and artists with similar style." "Resettlement doesn’t pander or take short cuts and the glaring individuality of the release adds weight to its claim on being one of 2018’s most satisfying releases." Full text here or visit
Too Much Love
"Few albums this year will measure up to the ambition Enrico Fernando pours into his band’s debut Resettlement.....The kinetic energy generated by these eight performances is considerable, however, and rarely takes its musical foot off the audience’s neck.....Red Black Red’s auspicious debut with this release will stick in your memory for some time and we can only hope there’s more to come from this project." RED BLACK RED FEATURE ON MUSIC EMISSIONS
4-28-16"Red Black Red have created a hybrid of electronic and industrial rock with an unique emphasis on groove in their new album.....Listeners should appreciate the ingenuity of their album, and the obvious amount of work which went into it. The band “hope[s] listeners will find something interesting musically enough so that they’d (the audience) be willing to give future releases a chance.” Listeners will find ‘Bloody Wing’ “explorative” reflects how the band tries to create music “that’s full spectrum” both musically, lyrically and sonically".

"BLOODY WING" RECEIVES A STELLAR 9/10 RATING FROM 24OURMUSIC - "An Industrial Gem Debut Album"
3-7-16 "the debut album Bloody Wing is a strange and wonderful journey...Loose Child is a modern day experimental ballad that could be a stand alone classic....shows off everything Red Black Red will one day be known for, primarily taking risks and having them pay off. Red Black Red have created something unique here.....something that will stick with your for days after hearing it. This is the sort of album that needs to be enjoyed in with large headphones on while you lay on the floor of your room, fully surrounded by the music and able to be carried away into this artistic and thoughtful debut album".
REVIEW OF "BLOODY WING" FROM MUSIC EMISSIONS
3-31-16 "Bloody Wing is succinct, tight and beautifully executed.....This is an album you can’t ignore when it’s being played. It is definitely not background music with the pounding electronics in the background while the guitar riffs stunning solos and the vocals are the right mix between tailored melody and grating gruffness.....I do not recommend this album for the faint of heart due to its intense and dark nature. However, for those seeking a haunting well put together album that is a hybrid of genres and with excellent musicianship, Bloody Wing is the album to try. The layering of instruments is expertly executed and fits together in an intricate web of competing melodies and varying rhythm patterns. The lyrics have metrical strength and compliment the melody of the instruments."
REVIEW OF "BLOODY WING" FROM NO MORE DIVISION
3-7-16 "New Jersey's Red Black Red is a fantastic representation of the bizarre stylistic mélanges we come across, these days....The twanging, bluesy, classic rock guitar of "Gasoline" is the perfect example of what is possible blending folk, metal and electronica. The guitars are bluesy, jazzy, like a hint of balsamic vinegar in the otherwise dark chocolate and curry red downtempo, which is further complicated with the barest smatterings of dubstep wobbles. When taken together "Gasoline" conjures images of weekend rave warriors, perhaps driving into some major mecca, tripping their pupils off on some illegal substance, to drag their rusted pick-up home as the birds are starting to cry and whine....This complex, layered picture strikes me as way more accurate and relevant"
